Rating by category:
Room was average, in ok location if on a budget. Staff are friendly, room is ok if a little small the double is meant for one person only! The air con sounds like a rocket heating up. Not recommended for hight of summer.
i was looking for an inexpensive hotel with two beds and a bath en suite...and this hotel fit the bill. it was clean and comfortable and the staff at the front desk were very helpful. the location was not midtown but very near a subway stop.
Value-priced accommodation within easy walking distance of New York's trendiest neighborhoods. The subway's Grand St station is a half-block away. The staff are helpful and friendly, and able to get you pointed in the right direction.
The wireless Internet, while free, is very slow and unreliable. Aside from the smallish, tightly-packed rooms, that's about the only drawback. Oh, an after-hours nightclub across the street will make things noisy during sleeping hours, depending on where your window is.
The staff was pleasant and helpful, and the location and price were good for a holiday weekend.
You get what you pay for. We were looking for a place to stay convenient to our planned activities and the Windsor fit the bill. We knew we would not be spending a lot of time in the hotel so amenities were not that important. There were some issues with the shower temp, however we rose late most days, and the first day there was no soap, the facilites were dated, but were good for a budget hotel.
the room had a very nice flat screen television
The Hotel does not provide wash clothes or face towels to any of the patrons, not even if they are specially requested. This was a real sticking point in adversley impacting my overall hotel experience across the board in terms of quality and satistfaction. If you are like me, you just can't except that. Although there are worst places to stay, by not providing face clothes after 2 days of requesting, really shows that the hotel takes your patronizing for granted and that they are going to look to gip you from every angle possible.
The location for me was the main attraction, and the price wasn't too bad for Manhattan. Staff seemed quite friendly.
The wifi was very poor, no connection most of the time and very weak when connected. Tv channel choices were disappointing. Room didn't even have drinking glasses.
The young staff at the front desk were cheerful and helpful. The hotel is located close to two subway stations serving three subway lines. My room faced the street, which is quiet. Even on the second floor, with the double-paned windows, I heard very little. This hotel is an excellent value.
Upon entering the room, the smell of the room freshener or cleaning products was almost overwhelming.
The staff were polite and helpful during our stay in the hotel.
The staff were lovely and the bed was huge. Good selection of tv chans
It was a bit pricy buy that's NYC
Felt safe; Cost efficient
Location not extremely convenient; lack of any amenities
rooms are clean and nice, location is great, staff is very friendly and helpful. Free but slow WiFi available.
The desk clerks were great--very, very helpful and always courteous. The location was superb, couldn't have asked for more. The room was clean, comfortable, and the bed was firm enough for a big man.
The wireless internet was spotty and frequently inaccessible. The tv signal was also poor and the picture kept going on and off.
Closely located to subway station "Grand St". Very close to Soho.
The rooms on the ground floor are a bit too loud at night due to people having phone calls at the reception plus noise from outside. While it's great that they offer free WiFi, this service is very unreliable there.
The staff was helpful and pleasant. The rate was very good - making an NYC weekend reasonable. Appreciated the in-room safe. Good location and easy access to very reasonable garage parking.
Only criticism: only 2 small towels - no hand towels or facecloths.
Easily in and out. not bothered by hotel staff
The beds were a strange size, smaller than a double, bigger than a twin. never seen before.
